I have had eczema since I was a child. Typical outbreaks behind knees and inside elbows. I grew out of that as I entered my teenage years.
Then, when I turned 56, I had an eczema out-break on my right lower leg. The itching was horrendous. I tried many “natural and holistic” approaches with little success. Also tried many prescription creams with no success. The only thing that would temporarily stop the insane itching was steroids! As soon as I stopped taking the steroids the itching would resume. Eczema is a very stressful condition. In the late fall/winter/early spring months I suffer with horrible itching which leads to oozing, bleeding, and painful out-breaks on my legs. I never wear socks in the winter as it socks irritate my ankles and legs and cause additional itching. Many nights I had to put ice packs on my legs just to minimize some of the itching and frequently had to wrap my legs in cotton towels that offered minimal relief. This went on for 6 years.
